Hope Program



According to the American Cancer Society, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes. When it is found early, the 5-year survival rate is 98%. Therefore, emphasis must be directed toward early detection.

To help fight this devastating disease Lakewood Hospital is pleased to offer the Hope program. Uninsured women over the age of 40 are able to have a mammogram, with a doctor’s order, free of charge at Lakewood Hospital.

This program is funded through a grant from the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
